Dissertation Research
My interests focus on how does certain cytokines, like type-I interferons (IFNs) and IL-6, direct downstream STAT-specific (STAT1/3) signal decoding and how does that affect the gene expression. I want to explore how the IFN-β state affects inflammatory gene expression programs through transcriptional profiling and open chromatin binding of IL-6-stimulated BMDMs, with a focus on STAT1/STAT3-regulated inflammatory and anti-inflammatory genes.
